Tips and FAQs

Used properly, 86 Mites and Mold can prevent and treat mold, powdery mildew, and pests such as spider mites. Note the label of your product: if you have purchased our 86 Mites and Mold concentrate, it must first be diluted before use. A mister or handheld sprayer is the best way to ensure that application is even over the entire plant. Furthermore, if you have our 2 oz. concentrate, use caution and handle only with appropriate protective eyewear and gloves. Keep out of reach of children.

Tips

  • Control your growing environment. If the conditions of your garden favor mites and mold, they will return after a period of time.
  • Humidity of your growing environment should be kept to between 50-60%
  • If growing indoors, keep temperature below 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius). Keep the room clean.
  • Remember to quarantine new additions to your hydroponics garden.

PREVENTION

Shake well and frequently. Spray a fine mist to cover all plant tissue. Allow foliage to air dry in still air. Apply weekly or more frequently if poor conditions persist.

How do I mix 4-to-1 concentrate?

First, always shake the bottle well. Pour 86 Mites and Mold concentrate into a bucket or other container. Fill your now-empty 86 Mites and Mold container four more times with water, add water to the concentrate in bucket, and mix well. We recommend using reverse osmosis water or de-chlorinated water. Do not mix in separate batches, as this can reduce the effectiveness of 86 Mites and Mold.

How long does my 86 last?

At room temperature, and correctly mixed, 86 Mites and Mold has a shelf life of two years.

How do I store my 86 spray?

Store your 86 at room temperature, and avoid direct sunlight or freezing temperatures.

Can I use 86 Mites and Mold with other products?

While we don't recommend combining or mixing 86 Mites and Mold with other products, doing a small and localized test may be helpful for identifying unwanted reactions.

Can I use it in a Fogger or Atomizer?

Yes.

When should I spray?

Always spray during rest periods. For example, if you are growing indoors, spray when the lights are off: during vegetative states that would be during the six hours of lights off, and during flowering stages during the twelve hour rest period. If your plans are grown under continuous light, turn lights off before spraying and be sure that leaves are dry before turning them back on. If you are using our products outdoors, spray at dusk.

How often should I use 86 Mites and Mold as a preventive?

Spray a fine mist over the plant – over and under – once a week. The sprayer included with our 8 and 32 ounce bottles can be used upside-down.

When can I start using 86 Mites and Mold?

When clones have an established root system, you may start spraying 86 Mites and Mold as a preventive measure.

How can I use this for new clones?

You may dip new clones in a solution of 50% 86 Mites and Mold and 50% clean water. Be sure to avoid contact with the roots. If you get new clones that aren't from your garden, make sure you quarantine and spray them before introducing them to your other plants.

Do you need a wetting agent?

No, 86 Mites and Mold does not need an additional wetting agent.

How long can i use 86 for? Is it safe to use close to harvest?

Yes! 86 Mites and Mold is safe to use. Generally, we recommend that 86 Mites and Mold be used up until two weeks before harvest, as after that point care will have to be taken to avoid any residual taste.
